Hi, I’m Sean.
I’ve been active in music for as long as I can remember – I composed my first piece when I was 7, and since then I’ve never stopped with music.
I compose music for film because I love being part of telling a great story. Film is an incredible medium: there’s so many pieces – from writing to editing – that have to come together for it to work, and when those pieces come together the right way, it’s breathtaking. It’s my job to be sure the music piece helps work towards the film’s artistic vision.
A bit about the different music projects I’ve been involved with over the years:
The Way Low Down: A folk/reggae/bluegrass band that started mid-2009. I play upright bass in this group.
Gamelan Tunas Mekar: A music ensemble that plays the music of Bali, Indonesia. I perform on various Balinese instruments with this group.
Windjammer: An alternative rock band I played bass guitar in for almost four years.
